Aftercare
If the skin is not broken, a dry sterile dressing can be placed over the treated area.
The tattoo will become raised and hot, a cold compress or ice pack can be applied. Do not apply ice directly to the skin.
We recommend using Ink of Coco Laser Aftercare Balm on all removals. Other products can be used instead such as aloe vera gel, certain aftersuns or cocoa butter.
If the skin is broken, an antiseptic cream can be used to prevent infection.
After 3 -5 days your tattoo may itch, an antihistamine such as Piriton can be taken to help relieve it.
Avoid direct sunlight for 2 months following the treatment. If this is unavoidable, use a sunscreen with SPF 30 or greater on the treated area.
Blisters, crusts and scabs can develop over 72hrs, do not pick or burst them. Do not worry it is natural for this to occur, and blisters will burst on their own accord.
Keep the treated area clean and dry whilst healing.
Things to avoid for 48-72 hours after treatment:
Restrictive clothing around the treated area.
Using perfume, body lotions or make up on the treated area.
Hot baths or continuous soaking, leave 2hrs before showering after treatment.
Swimming, saunas and steam rooms.
Sunbathing or using sun beds.
The area being scrapped or knocked.
